Video: Practical Social Networking – Twitter and Integrating Social Networks

This week Jim and I will be hosting the final webinar in the series on Practical Social Networking at 5:00pm Pacific Time on Wednesday September 30th.

We’ve created a brief video to give you a taste of what we’ll cover in-depth in the full one hour webinar.

We ask why all the fuss about Twitter?

In the webinar we explain how best to use this simple, versatile communications tool. You’ll learn how to directly engage with clients and colleagues. Why you need to listen to what people are saying on Twitter that might affect you. How create information-rich ‘tweets’. How to embed links and images in your messages.

Summarizing the whole five-week series, we then share ideas on how integrate all the social networks we’ve discussed: LinekIn, Facebook, Blogs, Podcasting, YouTube and Twitter.

No matter what your goal (to boost your career, get hired, promote your business or services) you’ll benefit from our practical information.

You guys are my heros! I am interested to learn more about how these tools can have more purpose than just “keeping in touch.” But if you don’t mind me asking, it looks like you have a powerpoint with voice recordings and it is being played in a YouTube format. How and what did you use to create this video post?

This is an amazing series! Very practical, relevant, and supportive. If you’re in business, you’ll have to figure all this out at some point, so why not accept this very generous offer? Yes, it takes time to implement their suggestions but Ian and Jim make a solid case for why doing this now makes perfect sense. Can hardly wait for this last session to learn more about integrating the different social networks.

Thanks for the kind words. We explained the software we used to create the videos in the first of these postings – here.
