Interview: Betsy Rosenberg – The Queen of Green
Betsy is a 25-year veteran of broadcast news, spending most of her career in electronic journalism with the CBS Radio network as a reporter and news-anchor. In 1997 Betsy took a turn for the greener and launched one minute segments on KCBS called EcoTalk. The environmental feature grew from one minute to one hour and local to national in 2004 when the program was picked up by the Air America Radio network.
In fall of 2006, Betsy’s program became the first green show to go to a daily, prime-time format, breaking new ground and signaling the start of what she terms, the “eco-evolution”. Betsy is passionate about spreading the Green gospel through mainstream media outlets and on the speaking circuit.
In this interview, Betsy shares her impressions of the National Speakers Association Pro-Track program and discusses some of the choices we can all make to help the environment. There are valuable links as well as archives of Betsy’s past radio shows on her website http://www.ecotalk.net.
