Hail to the Chief
A group of us created a Vision Statement Movie to celebrate President-Elect Barack Obama’s victory speech in Chicago on November 4th. The opening words of his speech deserve a place in the annals of great American political oratory. The words he spoke that night started with:
If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.
.
.
It’s the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.
We are pleased to present this video to honor those words.

Ian – Great video! While not nearly as awesome – and quite possibly downright ordinary due to my lack of video skills – I too was inspired to create a video by that speech.

My vid specifically addresses the words “planet in peril.” As a green industry expert, I’m delighted that we’ll get some attention to this challenge, which may just help us work together to address other global issues.

Here’s a source for soundbites from the speech. And here’s the full text and video of the speech.
