How to predict the popularity of your blog topics
Thanks to Michael for pointing to a useful tool that predicts the popularity of the topics and categories you choose to highlight in your blog. Under Tools click the Keyword Selector Tool to find out ahead of time who’s searching for what categories.
I ran the numbers on my own blog Categories for the number of keyword searches done in July across the internet:
105,753 global warming
75,969 blogging
12,280 public speaking
11,143 business communication
2,982 culture shock
2,614 speech writing
1,441 cultural differences
356 blog review
349 international communication
255 keynotes
199 speechwriting
Interesting to see how many more people are searching for keywords that would point them to my posts on the Global Warming debate vs. my posts on international communications. And my posts on Al Gore are indeed in the top five for page hits for the last three months in a row.
In a wider sense, this tool would also help executives and speech writers choose presentation topics that are of greatest interest to their audience.
Note to self: start using the tag speech writing rather than speechwriting.

This technology has really helped make my website http://www.EthnoConnct one of the most searched for diversity-related topics (46,000 visitors a month).
